The BJ40 features an integrated metal roll cage—unique in its class—and a pioneering cage-style body structure with 13 independent rigidity rings. Utilizing 79.8% hot-stamped and high-strength steel, along with high-pressure hydroforming technology, the body achieves exceptional torsional stiffness. Roof crush resistance reaches 85,000 Newtons, equivalent to supporting the weight of a 10-ton excavator.

The diesel variant of the BJ40 records an official fuel consumption of 9.97 L/100 km, with real-world usage as low as 8 L/100 km. A full tank enables a range of up to 1,000 km, challenging the stereotype of high fuel consumption in off-road vehicles.The model introduces a dual 12.8-inch floating curved display, allowing cross-screen interaction and shared content. Cargo capacity reaches up to 965 liters, easily accommodating all outdoor gear. It is also the only Chinese off-roader with frameless doors, enhancing both safety and side window visibility while adding a stylish, photogenic touch.
